The Search Committee has now received a list of names, along with some basic biographical information, of people who wish to be considered as our next Rector. The names came from the Diocese, self-nominations and submissions by members of this congregation.
After receipt of the list, the Committee asked the people whom we wished to consider further to view the Parish Profile on our website, answer questions posed by the Search Committee, and to send the Committee resumes and a list of references.
The Committee is reviewing those submissions, listening to sermons online, reviewing candidates’ present church websites, their social media presence (which many have in this digital age), and discussing our impressions so far. References will be checked also.
A Forum will be scheduled in September between services on a date to be announced to keep the parish updated on the Search.
Please continue to pray for us every Monday at 6:30 when the Committee meets. The Committee is always praying for the grace of God in all that we undertake in our search so that “our works may find favor in His sight.” Thank you.
Our Parish Profile is complete!

As the Rector Search Committee nears completion of production on our Parish Profile, it begins the collection of names of individuals it might interview to be rector. Most candidate names will be generated by The Episcopal Diocese of Central Florida or you! If you know of someone you would like to be considered for the position of rector at All Saints, we want to hear from you. Please place the names in an envelope and place the sealed envelope in the marked baskets that can be found in the church and in the office of Parish Administrator Beth Davis. All submissions will be confidential. We will be collecting names until mid-June, and we expect to start looking at a list of serious candidates in July. The committee is grateful for your support and prayers through this process. We will keep you updated on progress!
Search Committee Update: More than 300 Parish Surveys Returned!
Parishioners returned more than 300 surveys to the Rector Search Committee by last week’s deadline. Thank you for your enthusiastic response! The committee is tabulating results, which will influence the development of a new parish profile and the screening of candidates. The committee is now compiling other information to complete the profile—the essential first step of the search process. Please mark your calendars for Sunday, May 20, when search committee members will provide a full update of its progress at the 10:15 a.m. forum.

The Rector Search Committee is using this survey to collect your thoughts on where we are now as a parish, where we should be going, and what we will need in a new rector. Your honest, prayerful, carefully considered answers will be the foundation of our efforts to call a new rector to All Saints. The diocese fortunately has clear and helpful guidelines to lead us through the process that will end with the call of a new rector. The critical first step is to develop a profile of our parish to present to applicants. This key step includes outlining All Saints’ vision and mission, defining our unique characteristics as a community, and spelling out the qualities we want in a spiritual leader. You will soon be receiving a survey in which you will be asked for your thoughts on these questions. Your participation is vital to the success of the search process. Most importantly, the committee needs your constant prayers for wisdom and discernment in the process. We will grow in Christ together on this journey.
