Our Cares Away Cookies ministry has a treat planned for our All Saints college students and those serving in the military. On Saturday, October 20, at 9:00 a.m., volunteers will mail home-baked treats created by All Saints parishioners to our students and military personnel serving away from home. Your help is needed! Please provide the name and address of your college students and loved ones in the military by clicking HERE or calling Church Secretary Michelle Christoph at (407) 599-4304, emailing her at email@example.com, or fill out an address label found in the Church pews and place it in the collection plate.
Bakers and Packers Are Needed
Bakers are needed to make three to four dozen cookies, brownies, or bar cookies, wrapped individually, and delivered to the church by 9:00 a.m. Saturday, October 20. (Homemade treats can be left in the Thomas Center kitchen freezer the week prior to the mailing.) Packers are needed at 9:00 on Saturday, October 20, at 9:00 a.m. to fill our mailing boxes with treats and to prepare them for mailing. Cares Away Cookies is a LOVE ministry. Volunteers love preparing boxes of goodies, and the recipients love receiving them, knowing they are in our thoughts and prayers. You will be blessed!
Our Cares Away Cookies ministry is one more way that we extend the love of our parish family even further! Cares Away Cookies mails cookies to college students and members of the military that are far from home. We only send out care packages at certain times of year, so if you would be interested in baking cookies, packing cookies, or if you know of someone who needs some cookies, please contact our Parish Administrator Beth Davis at firstname.lastname@example.org to get on the list!
Each year we ask that you please bring your pets to be blessed and enjoy seeing your friends pets too. This is a fun and enjoyable time. Donations of canned and small bags of dry cat and dog food are appreciated and will be given to local shelters or other organizations in need.
Almost every week, our team of dedicated volunteers transform the beautiful Sunday altar flowers into small arrangements to be delivered to members of the All Saints family who may need encouragement or connection. Blessed with the hymns and prayers of the Sunday service, these beautiful flower arrangements bring a little of the Church into the lives of hospitalized and homebound parishioners. For more information e-mail Fr. Russell Wohlever or call him at (407) 647-3413.
We are a loosely knit group (pun intended) of multi-talented women who meet weekly on Wednesdays (excluding holidays or eves of those holidays) to share stories and knit. We meet in the Bride's Parlor at 11:00 a.m. Our projects include prayer shawls, military hats, children’s hats and other projects as they arise. We are currently on a break for summer and we look forward to seeing you in the fall.
We donate approximately 60 children’s hats to the Winter Park Day Nursery each November. Our prayer shawls are blessed by the clergy and are available to anyone who needs one. From beginner to advanced knitter we invite you to come share our love of knitting. We have needles, yarn and books of instruction to share. To learn more, contact Cathy Oller at email@example.com or Joan Hootman at firstname.lastname@example.org.
All Saints has an inventory of assorted medical supplies that are available to anyone in the parish. They are also loaned out to your friends, family or anyone you know that might need a piece of equipment. We have walkers, wheelchairs, portable toilet chairs, shower chairs, crutches, etc. If you are in need of borrowing any of the equipment, please contact Parish Administrator, Beth Davis at 407-599-4301 or email@example.com. Also, if you have any medical equipment to donate, please let us know and we may be able to use it as well.
